Thank you for your feedback and your question. Wow! 6 x 8 meters is quite large. Did you mean 60 x 800 cm or 600 x 80cm perhaps?

Unfortunately I don't believe we'll be able to increase the limits in AutoCollage to the extent you need, because of memory constraints. However, we'll make a note of your suggestion for any future releases of AutoCollage.

Thanks again,

Great Solution!

But I've got 2 problems:

- the output formats are not wrong for a couple of countries (e.g. germany, austria).

It would be great if further versions can have support for formats like "DIN A4", "DIN A5"

"10x13 cm" and so on ...

- It would be nice if it would be possible to tag one or two pictures to become centered

Thanks for your help in advance in thank you for this nice application.

I accomplished it by redoing the collage until the one I wanted ended in the middle. Any plans to at least select one photo to take center place.

Also the HELP contents indicate up to 300 photos can be in the browser folder. I tried one that had 34 photos but only 24 were put in the collage. At least the slider bar said 24.

The preview pane never shows the whole collage. You have to use the scroll bars to move around. The next Zoom value is 50% which is too small to really evaulate the collage. 80 or 90% would be more usable. I can view the whole colage by saving it and then opening it another photo editing program.

Thanks

Thank you for your question and suggestion. Unfortunately it's not possible to make a 1-dimensional Collage today. It's a good suggestion, and I'll pass it along to the development team for consideration for any potential future versions of AutoCollage.

Thank you for your question!

Re: Resolution of collage

Thank you for using and purchasing AutoCollage, we appreciate your feedback!

Both of your suggestions are great ideas, we'll pass them along to the product development team for consideration for any future releases of AutoCollage.

Thanks for your feedback!

Re: "Ignored images because they are too small"

The only way to work around image size limitations today is to upscale the images to a larger number of pixels.

For example,

Make a copy of the image.

Open the copy with a program capable of resizing it, such as Microsoft Office Picture Manager.

Resize the picture to meet image requirements. For example, in Microsoft Office Picture Manager, choose Picture->Resize and increase the picture size by an appropriate percentage, e.g. to 200% of original.

Save the image copy.

Upscaling will invariably reduce the quality of the image, so it's important to not make this change to your original picture.

We require images of a certain size with AutoCollage so the image processing algorithms we have can work efficiently and correctly. Once your image meets AutoCollage image requirements, you can successfully use it in collages.

Sorry for this limitation, please let us know if you have any other questions.

Re: Output size limitations?

The pre-defined sizes is indeed very limiting. I am running quad-mon and can get a fairly high resolution picture, but I can't choose 11"x14" or 12"x12" (square mode) even though they are smaller in resolution. These are the sizes I typically print. Doesn't make sense to crop a collage either. My friend was impressed by the desktop background I have and asked me to create one for him. I can't - he is running dual-mon.

Re: Purchase

Hi Waldemar,

Thanks for your comments.

The Microsoft Store should accept both Visa and MasterCard payments - go to https://emea.microsoftstore.com/UK/desktopdefault.aspx/tabid-50 for the AutoCollage 2008 page.

We are looking at the resolution options for a future release and will make a note of your request for consideration. Also see my reply to the Output size limitations? topic.
