Just looking at the new Microsoft Repository, and I was intrigued to find this data type. In fact, it knocked me sideways because I had only been discussing it with a number of different people over the last while. This has two properties 'DataAvailableFrom' and 'DataAvailableTo', which means we can make the item available for a discreet period of time, in line with typical copyright licensing agreements. The problem that I have been pondering is 'could we use a repository to

Yay! It works. This looks very interesting and different. I am going to have little enough time to play with it right now, but I am really pleased that it works. I am delighted. Now, let's see what we can do with it.. Thanks Shailesh. David. 2009/2/11 Shailesh Nikam : > Hi David, As part of our installer, we ask user for application pool > credentials for IIS 6.0. Hi Shailesh, It was a clean installation. I changed the paths to reflect my setup - changing MSSQL.1 to MSSQL10.FAMULUS, which is as it exists in our system. I no longer get the old error message, but a different one. I got another error that seemed to indicate that I needed to activate FILESTREAM functionality for the SQL server instance and database. So, I did that. Then I got a permissions error, which seemed to indicate that it could not do anything with C:/.../FamulusFiles This was my bad -

Hi Shailesh, I have been trying to install the repository platform on Windows Server 2003 today, with SQLServer Express 2008. It's been going okay until the point just before the end where the wizard is installing the databases. Then, an error dialog pops up. It says:
Error -2147217900: failed to create SQL database: MicrosoftFamulus, error detail: CREATE DATABASE failed. Some file names listed could not be created. Check related errors.
Can you give me any help? Many thanks

Probably also important to use Windows Server 2003, rather than 2008 also. :-) David.

No dice. Unfortunately. I re-installed SqlServer and Famulus, all logged in as Admin. I used Windows Authentication on the SQLServer instance. I did manage to create a new database in the new instance of the SQL Server that I created. Thanks, David.

Hi Harsh, I am @ home now, and don't have access to the server from here, as it is inside our institutional network. I will go through your email when I get back into the office tomorrow afternoon, which will be at around 7 am pacific time. I think that I have those boxes ticked, but will double check. Best, David.

That doesn't seem to work. Should I have Admin setup as a log in for the SQL Server instance somewhere? David.

Hi Harsh, Thanks for replying. I have tried these combinations and have not been successful. I am using 2008 Server. I also have IIS7 set up in the roles of 'application server' and 'web server' is the instance information case sensitive? David.

Hi, I have set up the server as follows: Windows Server Web Copyright 2007 Microsoft Corporation Intel Xeon E5410 @ 2.33GHz 4GB RAM Service Pack 1 With, Microsoft SQL Sever Express 2008. I am using Windows Authentication on my instance of SQL Server. The user in this case is an Administrator. It is also the same user that I am when I install the Research Platform. My problem is that I get the message 'Please ensure that the SQL Server Instance exists and that you have access to it'. I have
