I am the Data Curator in the small WWT Team in the Next Media Division at Microsoft Research.
The stories behind science fascinate me. As an undergraduate at the University of Zimabwe, I co-founded the national high school mathematics magazine Zimaths. While getting a doctorate in computer science ("Automatic Analysis and Recognition of Tones in Mandarin Chinese") at the University of Chicago, I was part of the COSMUS project, making interactive stereo-3d visuals for classrooms and museums of astronomical phenomena like cosmic ray showers and the large scale structure of the universe.
