Hi Everybody,
I will be posting Personal Vibe as soon as we get all the language cleared in the EULA. I will place a message here and then post further information about how to use it.
Thanks,
Brian
It's been about 5 months, I've installed the software but can't find anyway to run or use.
I'm glad you found the software. I only just posted it on thursday and was now pulling together a user's manual. The only tool that is included in the current download is the logger itself so the only impact of running it will be to start putting data into the SQL Express Database. You can look at that data using SQL Express Management Studio (free download from Microsoft). I'll post more tools and the manual by the end of this upcoming week. Sorry for the confusion!
No problems, I need a solution like this for networks and tracking folder name changes, copies... all the things Windows 2008 server should monitor employees and users doing but doesn't. You'd be amazed how often an employee changes a folder or moves files then can't find them. This might not be your focus but that's what I need or have to make. I'm always amazed this stuff it's getting done already to help combat cybercrime and protect businesses.
The error below could also be caused by Mesh Tech Preview, Home Server Refresh RC or a number of other beta or test programs I'm working on.
I installed IE8beta1 rebooted and had to uninstall personalvibe2 because it started crashing and hold the processor at 100% cpu. Is there a Connect project for this? Are there any log files you need. My system log files were corrupt also so I couldn't pull anything out of them related to these crashed which is really strange.

Hi Brian,
I have PersonalVibe2 all installed and working fine. I have verfied that data is being placed into the SQL database and now what to see what can be done with this information :)
The image thumbnail looks interesting but dont have a way of displaying in enterprise manager. Will there be another release that includes more functionality?
Any news would be great
best regards
Trevor
Where can I find stuff on Personal Vibe? I would like to use its API like;
List l = new List();
VibeWinModel.TextEventLogger t = new VibeWinModel.TextEventLogger(@"c:\log");
l.Add(t);
VibeWinModel.WindowModel m = new VibeWinModel.WindowModel(false, false, l);
m.WMStart();
m.WMStop();

A quick web search yields: http://research.microsoft.com/en-us/downloads/0ea12e49-8b29-4930-b380-a5a00872d229/default.aspx
I just tried to install Personal Vibe on my XP (x86) machine running a SQL Server Enterprise 2005 and a SQL 2008 Express installation.But the setup prompted no SQL Express installed?
Any ideas how to solve this problem?
Thanks, Michael
