i attempted to buy online with my debit card (visa) only to find that the only card listed for purchase was the maestro debit card (mastercard).

so microsoft you have lost a sale.

We're very sorry to hear the store experience didn't work well for you.

As part of testing out the site, I bought a copy of AutoCollage from the US store with my US Visa credit card, and from the UK store with my UK debit / visa card. It is definitely possible to purchase software using Visa cards, but perhaps the question to address now is 'how'.

The online Microsoft Store confirmed that visa debit cards are treated as visa cards for the purpose of purchasing Autocollage.

To purchase AutoCollage using your visa debit card, please select 'Visa' under 'credit card type' and you should be able to complete the transaction.

I hope you can help me.  I purchased this software online this morning and my visa card was accepted and the order was processed.  However when I attempted to download the program I was directed to the Digital Locker  and from there I have never been able to download the software.  I have my license number, etc. but to date although the program is paid for I do not have it on my computer.  Can you direct me, please.  Thanks for a reply.  Nate

Thank you for buying AutoCollage, sorry the process of downloading it has been confusing!

When you visit the Digital Locker, it will usually have a line item for each piece of software you've purchased, with a 'Download' button. If this is not the case, you can visit this download link and download the trial version of AutoCollage. Once you've installed it, please follow the directions below to enter your product key and transform it to the full retail version.

From the help topic Registering AutoCollage 2008:

When you purchase AutoCollage, you receive an AutoCollage product key you can use to register your copy of AutoCollage.

To register your copy of AutoCollage:

1. Select the Optionsbutton.
2. Select the Registration tab in the dialog which appears.
3. Select the Register... button. This invokes the registration dialog where you can enter your product key.
4. Enter your 25-character product key in the white product key input box. You can type it in, or cut-and-paste by copying your product key from another window, then pasting into the first part of the input box.
5. Select OK to save your product key.

Once your copy of AutoCollage is registered, the trial time limit and watermark are disabled.
