Can someone from Microsoft please explain why an application to download costs twice as much in the UK as it does in the US? 20USD is 11GBP not 20GBP.

unfortunately all products that download via EU websites are more expensive than the US. This is an issue bigger than just AC. Adobe is currently really ripping off international Lightroom users just to show that it is a common thing in the industry.
