Symptoms

(JIT) Debugging error

Cause

Either a missing or corrupt Microsoft .NET Framework Version 2.0 Redistributable Package or a missing or corrupt DirextX 9.0c installation.

Resolution

Install / repair Microsoft .NET Framework Version 2.0 Redistributable Package using the appropriate install for your computer:

· Microsoft .NET Framework Version 2.0 Redistributable Package (x86): http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=0856EACB-4362-4B0D-8EDD-AAB15C5E04F5&displaylang=en

· Microsoft .NET Framework Version 2.0 Redistributable Package (x64) http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=b44a0000-acf8-4fa1-affb-40e78d788b00&displaylang=en

Install / Repair DirectX 9.0c:

I reinstalled the .NET framework and the DirecX repair. I'm still getting the unhandled exception error "Unhandled exception in a component in you application...."

The details are shown below.

Any ideas?

Chuck,

I have the same problem. How would I know which .NET repair to pick; ie; (x86) or (x64)?

How does one go to acccess the JIT debugging set in the system windows forms section? I could not find any info. on JIT debugging in the help and support section of this windows XP version i use. I cannot find the system windows froms section, either. In the last part of the erro details box it directs one to enable JIT debugging or to enable it or configure it. How does one find it to configure it?

After an hour or more of trying to figure out the problem and several attempts at running the telescope repair I finally un-installed telescope until I can figure out how to fix the Debugging issue.

I did what you suggested and am using latest microsoft.net version 3.5 and latest directx 9.0. I still get debugging error and comments mentioned above. How can I use this program as I was so excited to use it and keep getting that error message. Thanks.

Hi havnfun370,

You also need Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0. You can have both loaded on the computer at the same time.

Tried to install the Net2 x86 fix and received a "Setup is incompatible with previous version" error.

Also performed the Directx repair and received the following:

There is nothing to fix here, as stated in the first thread "Install / repair Microsoft .NET Framework Version 2.0 Redistributable Package"

Just to make this clear: WWT needs Microsoft .NET Framework version 2.0 You can install it along with your 3.5 Smile

I have framework version 2.0 installed, and I still receive this error.

Ergo, I believe there is, in fact, something to fix.

I keep getting this message and I am not sure why.

Can you help me PLEASE!!
