Hi:

I've used ICE for quite a while now.

Today, for the first time, ICE failed, with this error message:

Microsoft ICE was unable to Stich together any of the given  source  images

     Unspecified error (0x 80004005)

What has changed?  I have moved from Window 7 64-bit RC to the production version.

To be clear, I used three photos that have plenty of overlap.  First, I dragged and dropped them from ACDSee Pro3; then I used file/new/open within ICE.   The photos are all JPG.

Panorama Maker was able to use these files and create a pano without error.

Have you tried more that one image set?  Do they all report this same error, or is it just this one 3 image case?

Hi Matt:

Good call.  Another 3-image set worked just fine.

So it looks like the images are more likely to be involved.

The main difference between the bad set and the good set is this:  the bad ones were shot in sequence from right to left, the good ones from left to right.  Otherwise, they are very similar in most respects (size, format, file type camera and so on).

I looked at the ICE application and cannot find any way to specify the order in which photos are to be stitched.
