I wish there was a way to be able to add effects to the recorded track without them affecting the background track. I tried to add a bit of echo to the completed track but it didn't sound right when I played it back. Is there a way to separate the voice/instrument track from the rest? Love the programme though:-)
Thanks for your interest in Songsmith!
In fact you _can_ export the voice and music separately; when you click "export", you'll see checkboxes for "vocals" and "music", just export twice, once for the vocals and once for the music.
I do this at home for exactly the same application: sometimes I record a dry guitar track into Songsmith and want to add effects without touching the backing music, so I export them separately and bring them into another application where I can process them separately. That's how I made this file, for example:

Hope that helps!
