It looks like it's having trouble finding one of the libraries for some reason... can you check on whether the file "MySongAudio.dll" is indeed available in the directory to which you installed Songsmith (usually c:\program files\songsmith)?  We haven't seen this issue before, so my best suggestion here is to uninstall and try again.

Sorry you're experiencing this issue...

Hi,

The same thing happened to me.  I get the same message.  If , when the sofware shows you the screen to pick a song"type", ( NEW SONG STARTER-SELECT STARTING POINT )  you cancel that...and just go to the bar across the bottom to make your selections.  style     chords per bar    add/remove bar at start/end    tempo

Then press record . It works.....just not the way it supposed to.

I would like to see this fixed as well.

Lanadee:

This is really helpful data that might help us find this problem, which right now we can't replicate on our end.  You're saying that as long as you don't go through the "wizard" (the windows that ask you to choose tempo/style/etc.), Songsmith works fine for you?  Can you tell us exactly when you see this error if you do go throug the "wizard"?

Thanks!

I've never seen this before, but it appears to be a font issue... can you think of any reason why your font configuration would be unusual?  Specifically, is there any reason why the standard "Courier New" font wouldn't be available on your computer?  Can you check whether it is in fact installed; for example, if you open WordPad, is the "Courier New" font installed?

Thanks...

Well, as a matter of fact, I CAN explain this.  I use a number of software programs that bring a multitude of fonts with them.  They use up valuable resources so from time to time I have removed them. I WAS missing the Courier New. I replaced the Courier New...and guess what , so far..my software appears to load normally.  I won't be using it for a day or two but when I do I will be happy to let you know if anything else occurs.  I am sorry my "error" won't be more help to you with other issues.

Thanks so much for your help!
