The “Research Output Repository Platform” has been built using latest .Net Framework 3.5 and SQL Server/ Express 2008. Also, the installer sets up default ASP.Net web application which requires correct IIS configurations.
So, it is required to setup correct environment to run the platform successfully.
User can use the simplified Microsoft Web Platform Installer to setup machine before proceeding with repository platform installer from,
http://www.microsoft.com/web/channel/products/WebPlatformInstaller.aspx
(Make sure to select all IIS options under ‘application development’ section)
Once user sets up the environment successfully, one can proceed with Repository platform installer.
