I am having trouble installing Auto Collage, it gets right to the end and stops, giving me a message that it was interrupted and therefore could not install, and suggest I run setup again which I've done now several times with the same results. Have any of you run into the same problem, and if so, how did you get Auto Collage to install on your system? I am using Windows Vista Home Premium, 2GHz of RAM, Pentium dual core 3.0 MHz onto a 500Gb HDD, I turned off Virus detection software and even reboot between tries and still nothing. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

As a result of some misconfiguration, some software components may not be properly updated in a few machines. Would you confirm that you can go to the site http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/ and that site is able to properly detect and offer updates to your system?
You don't need to perform any given update (although that is certainly good, mainly for critical ones) but just to verify if the components to detect the need for updates are "up-to-date" (I know this may sound ironic).

Thanks for replying, I can and have updated my version of Windows and all my Microsoft software, it's the one thing I do constantly, making sure I am running the latest updates to keep my system operating at it's best. I recently tried to install the program again with the same result, it is getting frustrating. It's not so much the $20 I paid for the program, it's the fact of all the software I own, this is the only one that does not install.

If you still face problems after visiting http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/ then please contact our support team at acfeed@microsoft.com with information about your machine configuration and operating system, and we will try to help you to resolve this issue.

Microsoft Research AutoCollage 2008 has a free trial that should be downloaded from our site at: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=127040. We highly recommend that users download and try the application before purchasing the product key. Even for users that don’t face any setup issues there may be performance issues, since it is very hard to anticipate the performance of image processing applications in different hardware configurations.

Another issue that we became aware of recently is that some unauthorized sites are making AutoCollage available, for free or for a fee. Please make sure that you only download AutoCollage from the official site. The setup file for v1.0, named MicrosoftAutoCollageSetup.msi, has 7,171,072 bytes, and the file should have a digital signature from Microsoft Corporation, with a Timestamp of July 16, 2008 (you should be able to verify the time stamp opening the file properties dialog and looking at the “Digital Signatures” tab).
