I downloaded the program but can't get it to install. The window says Welcome to the Microsoft Research AutoCollage 2008 Setup Wizard

but the installation telles me "another installation is in progress. You must complete that installation before continuing this one.

I have turned off everything I can possibly turn off  including the firewall, and Norton but nothing works.

I have HPIQ506, Vista Home Premium, 400 Gb RAM - computer is just 3 week old.

Hi BabeAk,

Thanks for your interest in AutoCollage.

This installation issue usually occurs when you did an install requiring a reboot but the reboot hasn't been completed yet. I would recommend that you shut down your machine fully and restart Windows first, allowing some time after logon to complete any installations that are pending.

If you are still having the issue installing AutoCollage after this, you can open the task manager (right-click on the task bar and select "Task Manager"), click on the "Processes" tab and check to see if there are any instances of "msiexec.exe" running. If so, select each in turn and click on the "End Process" button to shut them down. Once they have all been stopped try to run the AutoCollage installer again.

I hope this helps. Please let us know if we can be of any further assistance.

Many thanks,
Chris.
