Splashscreen and "Initializing Data" is never-ending in XP...

I have ran the Spring Release in the past, so I'm not sure why it won't run now.

I have un-installed, re-installed, etc, and nothing but the splash-screen and endless march of the 'Initializing Data' progress bar.  No error messages, no hits, no runs...nothing.  I have WWTExplorer.exe in the Task Manager and can put it out of its misery that way.

I am running XP release III, high end Matrox Parhelia video card, 1 gig RAM.  Like I said, it's run before.

Shame, I attended a presentation at the Everett Astronomical Society and really want to play with it, now!

    Any advice would be helpful.
