Output size limitations?

Is there any way to create a really big collage? It seems a little limiting that the largest output size is only 8x10". I'd like to be able to output at at least 20x30", preferably be able to go larger. Once we can do larger page sizes, any chance of getting the maximum number of images in the collage increased? I understand there will probably be memory and processor constraints around this, but hey, I'm prepared to wait for it to finish :-)

Hi,

In this version of AutoCollage we don't support arbitrary sizes, but we will take note of this request for future releases.

However, all the generated AutoCollages are saved at 300dpi and are capable of being printed at high resolution. So the 8"x10" output is actually 2400 x 3000 pixels in size. There is an option of going higher if you have high resolution monitor by using the screen resolution setting in the output options.

I hope this answers your query.

Thanks,
Chris O'Prey

Hi Chris, Thanks for the response. If you can at least road map arbitrary sized output and an increased number of images in the collage then I'm sold. Let me know when you need someone to test those features :-D Cheers, Richard

RSTOCKS has it down pat.. I was instantly brought up against the output barrier after collating a 'heap' of photo's.

As a keen amateur photographer, the end result of this is superb on A2 photopaper.  But, please get on with custom sizes or even a simple 'banner' mode.

My wife, an interior designer, was highly impressed and wants this program to have at least in A0 'banner' capability!

Superb product, congratulations. - Ken

The pre-defined sizes is indeed very limiting. I am running quad-mon and can get a fairly high resolution picture, but I can't choose 11"x14" or 12"x12" (square mode) even though they are smaller in resolution. These are the sizes I typically print. Doesn't make sense to crop a collage either. My friend was impressed by the desktop background I have and asked me to create one for him. I can't - he is running dual-mon.

Hi all,

Many thanks for your feedback. We are keeping track of all the requests made, and will consider these for inclusion in a future version of AutoCollage.

Many regards,
Chris
