On my images of the sky (these are all right) I can see the white text fields, but there ist no text appearing (just the white fields).
How to proceed to get the respective text into the text fields?

This is usually always video card related. Try updating to the latest drivers for your video card. Also please let us know what what kind of video card you have.

Thanks for the reply.I have NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 card. Driver version 6.14.11.7519 date 5/16/2008, which I believe is current. It has 128 MB memory. Bios version is 4.34.20.23.00. I use dual-monitors. Resolution is 2560 x 960, 32-bit color.Regards,Doug.
I have the same problem too. I upleveled the drivers and no change. The card is nvidea geforce FX5200 it appears to meet the WWT minimum requirements.
The same here! Nvidia geforce FX5200 with latest drivers, Win XP. I also found that some picture transparencies are not working right.
The NV34 based cards have problems with alpha chanel transparency. We need full DirectX 9.0c (the C is important) while the NV34 cards support 9.0a and a few newer ones b.
The lack of support for the blending mode won't allow both variable total transparency and alpha channel transparency at the same time.
While it might be theoretically possible to create a work-around on a case by case basis for each board, AGP systems and FX5200 are too old for our hardware lab, and I don't have any to develope or test a work-around for it. Supporting older out-of-production boards is like trying to play whack-a-mole.
Right now new video cards that run WWT several times faster than the fx5200 can be had for about $40 or less on-line. An 8 or 9 series NVidea gets alot of band for the buck and will imrpove you machine performance accross the board.
We also may have a generic solution for machiens that don't meet the current minimum platform requirements.. but thats another story.
I have been fighting the same problems for many months now. I have an Nvidia 5700. It worked since the beginning, but stopped at the last update of WWT. I used to think this was a great program, but now I would not recomend it to anyone anymore. Please fix the video error. Most of us cannot buy new video cards all the time. ( Disabled)
