I am in charge of distributing software at my organization and the installation process for WWT is a bit of a kluge frankly. Even though an MSI installer exists, the DirectX portion of the install is invoked as a custom action outside of the windows installer engine and therefore fails when running without administrator rights.

I noticed that when the app is installed, it reports its version on the initial splash screen as "Spring Beta." Is there a timetable for moving this product out of beta status? I am hopeful that the installation process will be cleaned up when this happens. Does anyone know if this is scheduled to occur?

Later this year, or sometime next year.

Hi jameswatson3,

As far as I know, there is no official date for exiting the 'beta' version.

Thank you,

Chuck
