My HP Pavilion, a1310n, was totally munched a couple of days ago. In order to bring it back I had to use my "Windows XP Recovery DVD, Version 6.0.61, Media Center Edition 2005" a 2 disk set Created by me in Feb. of 2006.
I have recovered much of what was lost, however now when I try and use my "Microsoft Research, WorldWide Telescope" I get the Logo which states "Initializing Data" plus a separate message box stating "WorldWide Telescope has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." and asking me to send Microsoft an error report which I try and do.
It will "Initialize Data" forever, I let it go all night last night. When I click the box to "Send Error Report" or "Don't Send" or the Red X to close the notice, the Logo also disappears and nothing has loaded. Before the Computer Crashed the Telescope worked, I really enjoyed it and would like it back.
I've tried everything I can think of, reinstalling etc. without success. Will appreciate any thoughts on how to fix it. Please note, I'm a novice and not familiar with the jargon.
Thank you for your help.
John
