Hi all,

Great piece of software !!!

I am astrophotographer so i want to look around what i can get in the field of view of my scope & ccd camera.
But i cannot find my scopes and ccd listed in then FOV dialog.

I can understand that you can't list all...of course.
But maybe it will be a good idea to let users enter "custom data" (focal, aperture or f/d, ccd infos...)

Sorry if i missed some functionnalities aready in the software.

Same question, really.  I have a Celestron C6-SGT, but it's not listed and it would be useful to be able to add (even if via a cfg file) some of the more popular (in Europe, anyway!!) cameras - Phillips Toucam, Starlight Xpress, Atik, etc

You can modify the XML file that stores all the instruments (camera & telescopes) and it will show up.  The file is instruments.xml 

On XP it is located at C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\WorldWideTelescope\data

On Vista it is located at C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\WorldWideTelescope\data

The format of the XML is somewhat self explanatory (if you are familiar with XML files).  You will need to put the technical info in yourself though too. 

If for some reason you mess things up, you can delete the file and WWT will update it with the most current one that is available.  One important note though, if you modify it and we update that list, we will overwrite your file so you should keep a back up.
