Sorry for the delay in replying, I thought I already had. My bad. Can you wait a couple of weeks? We'll have some tools out for you to do that... and it can handle galactic coordinates.

Though, I have to admit, it will not be able to handle very large images. How large are your images?

You can use it now in WWT, in tours, etc. So it is already integrated. But I suppose you mean, when will it appear in the other list of surveys? In the next update. But you hardly need wait for that.

This version will not become the default WWT background, however, since it can be done even better.

Hi Dinos,

My survey images are all in galactic coordinates.

If necessary, I can reproject them to celestial coordinates to get them into WWT.

We're actually in the process of making some tools to do exactly that at the moment. Well, the tools are made, we're polishing them and getting them approved. You would supply your maps in equirectangular format, and it creates TOAST tiles from them.

A question - how does ra change as you move from left to right in your maps? Does it change with each dataset?

Hi Dinos,

I've put up several large surveys in Google Maps format as described here:

galaxymap.org/.../127

I'd love to do the same for WWT (as some of these do not seem to be available for WWT - eg colour IRAS composite, MSX, Spitzer, the radio map etc. plus my various overlays)

In order to do this, I would need a TOAST tile cutter like the one here for Google Maps:

Where can I download such a thing?

very interesting work you are doing but when was the images and where did they originate from please of the sun as near the sunspots two indentations worthy of further study to effect of planitary alignment regards vortex creations I am looking into ... kind regards graham
