I'd agree with Zaruma. and bearing in mind microsofts Idea of a whole weekend ending on sunday midday (with the MJ download) I'm trying not to get my hopes up on a today release.

I'll try to wait patiently...

Darth's blog = giveusthisdayourdailygame.blogspot.com

He's said a few times that after a game is submitted it can take a few min all the way to 48 hours to be posted.

He also gave an example of a game being peer review complted at 6:25am today and then being posted for us to download at 10:00am

So we probably have a few hours to wait... depending on when it was finished

Also, the 360 gamertag: Kodu Gameshare

has 23 friends already, some are pending requests, I'll accept anyone as long as they are getting kodu. You can also look at it's friends list for easy access to other kodu players.

Thanks to Darthuvius for his informative blog @ giveusthisdayourdailygame.blogspot.com , and spuz.

Hi Moco -- I am running one of the alpha/early academic kodu programs ( http://koduclub.org/ )

Nice job on the forum going up so soon.  I also own koduclub.com and .net

Do you want a subdomain to point to your forum?  no need in duplicating your forum work, but I'd be willing to cover that part if you guys want it.

forum.koduclub.com ? or

forums.koduclub.com?

Hey Moco, I'm a graphic designer working almost exclusively on websites. If you want me to grab the site files and schnazz up the home page at all, I can do that. Shouldn't take long to get something going that looks tight, and then you can focus on getting the forums started. Teamwork, right? :D Let me know.

And Scott, I think that's awesome that you'd be willing to offer a premium domain name like that! I'd go for it, Moco.

You guys are great!! I can't wait to download it already! ARGH! Haha!

But then, where could we download the game for PC since some people don't have a 360? Microsoft said that it would be available for both 360 and PC, but I don't know WHERE to download the game when it officially releases. I'm pretty sure that a website will say that Kodu will soon be available for download, but I could not find the news ANYWHERE on ANY website that has to do with a Kodu download for PC. If any of you know where to download Kodu for PC, please post.

gamers unite, in one of the post it addresses the issue. they said it will release for xbox and then some time after (none specified) it will come out for pc use. luckily you can interface a 360 controlled to a computer!

skyline7284 said:

@crazysheep:  They said in an earlier post that if it got approved today then it would be out by thursday.  You would think Microsoft would actually want to put out their own game.

Spuz said:

Just relax, people.  Some of you are starting to get worked-up over nothing.

If it was rejected then it won't be released for another week at the earliest, so there's no use getting impatient over a few hours to a few days.  We won't know anything until he confirms if it is approved or not, at which point it's a matter of a few hours from what's been said earlier in the comments.

Ummmm... Matt?

Do you think you might have a release date for the computer version, and maybe some system requirements? Or is it just going to be released to educators and people of that group? I can't really get an XBOX, but I really want to have Kodu. I program in my spare time, and this game seems like a blast.

Thanks

waiting4kodu, sure, it was like a couple of weeks ago(if thats enough).... im not being rude, just pointing out the obvious fact with alot of MS that when an answer isnt a positive one, its easier to bury your head in the sand and hope the problem goes away.

Its no mystery that PS3 are gaining ground in Europe as MS obviously doesnt care for some markets here.

The Tem : nice! Where from? Jag fårlaskapa ett nytt konto ;)

theonlyix2, thats a shame then, hopefully microsoft will get their act together in the european market, they have a great product to offer.

theonlyix2, no offence, but i work in a office where i get 75-100 emails a day, if i took the time to answer each and every one of them i'd get nothing else done.

I have no idea how many Matt or his team get from people like you and me, but i'd guess it's more then i get a day, so lets cut the guy some slack, first  and formost he has a job to do and with all due respect explaining to you while the community channel isn't available in Sweden isn't one of them.

The Tem said:

I doubt PS3 is gaining ground due to lack in MS support.

Some say PS3 is gaining ground due to InFamous, but that's to be debated. The PS3 sales have dropped in Japan and Sony's E3 stuff had nothing on MS and Natal. The only "console" that had an increase in sales (as of may 2009) was actually the DS. Even though it might be "gaining ground" the total sales figures in the us shows Xbox360 has 15.2 million sold units vs. PS3's 7.7 million.

I still like the path that microsoft has in plan for the Xbox360 (with last.fm and the online video game store and all that) better. I mean, the Xbox has (mostly) all the games PS3 does, and a whole bunch more. You could just hear the gasps and the grinding of PS3 fanboys teeth when Kojima announced Metal Gear is coming to the 360.

Ooh, that's an idea; Metal Gear Kodu... I call dibs on that one!!!  =D

But I digress. *sigh* I just want my Kodu...

The Tem, PS3 aint selling on games im sure! But i have friends who didnt see any advantage of playing their COD4 (i know, theyre stoopid =)  ) on xbox live, so they sold their boxes and bought PS3;s because -playstation is playstation. As you probably know coming from here, its a VERY strong brand here, but most of the games are not (some few excluded).

People see that the PS3 has the advantage of bluray (which imho isnt really an advantage)  and buy it.

Last.FM, facebook, twitter might give X a little advantage but im having trouble seeing people buying Xboxes JUST for this over the bluray option.

NATAL will change it though.....

Enough PS3 here now, i loathe that thing.

Just bring us Kodu NOW! =)
